Climbing schedule (example) when using shuttle bus during period of private vehicle restrictions.

Day-trips

Scheduling is particularly important on day-trips to climb Mt. Fuji.
Make plans with lots of time to spare, as climbing may take longer than expected, especially for first-time hikers. A lot of people find descending more difficult than expected due to fatigue and strain on the knees from their body weight.

4:00: Arrive at Fujisan Parking. Buy a bus ticket. Stand in line to board the bus.

5:00: Depart on shuttle bus during period of private vehicle restrictions.*The first bus to depart may be crowded.

5:45: Arrive at Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta.

6:00: Start climbing.

11:00: Arrive at summit.

12:00: Begin descent.

16:30: Arrive at Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta.

17:00: Depart Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta on shuttle bus during period of private vehicle restrictions.

17:35: Arrive at parking lot.

18:00: Go home after bathing and resting at the nearby Fujiyama Onsen.

Overnight climb

10:00: Depart on shuttle bus during period of private vehicle restrictions.

10:45: Arrive at Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta.

12:00: Start climbing after a light meal at Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta.

16:00: Arrive at the 8th Station Hut. Have dinner and go to sleep.

Next day 2:00: Start climbing toward the summit.

5:00: Watch the sunrise near the summit (daybreak).

6:00: Begin descent.

12:30: Arrive at Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta.

13:00: Depart Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta on shuttle bus during period of private vehicle restrictions.

13:35: Arrive at parking lot.

14:00: Go home after bathing and resting at the nearby Fujiyama Onsen.

About all-night climbing (speed climbing)

Please refrain from all-night speed climbing without staying overnight as it is dangerous.
This is particularly due to nighttime restrictions that have been imposed starting this year,

with the Fuji-subaru Line 5th Sta gate closed between 4:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M.
